As mentioned in the SPEAK Mission Statement, the organization has developed and will continue to develop products and tools that will both raise awareness about a specific issue. While the sale of that product or tool will also generate funds to help the organization cover its expenses.
Our Mission: ‘SPEAK exists to help raise awareness about the critical issues and lingering needs within our communities facing children and youth, women and their families and the poor through the use of technology, multi-media tools, activities, events and programs. The goal is to produce positive change in the lives of those whose voices are not being heard and needs are not being met.

About 160 youth age out of foster care in Delaware each year. If they don't have the support of family and community upon leaving, chances are they never will. Within a few years after aging at rates well above the national average, many become unemployed, homeless and some even end up in prison.
