SPEAK - Exists to raise awareness about critical issues and lingering needs in our communities facing children and youth, women and their families and the poor through the use of technology, multi-media tools, activities, events and programs.The goal is to produce positive change in the lives of those whose voices are not being heard and whose needs are not being met.

If you already volunteer every month, that's great! Just ask the Manager at the site to sign your Volunteer Time Sheet.

If you are not currently volunteering, here are some great ideas you might want to try!

This past May Caroline K. was the Project SERVE-it Volunteer of the Month

Chick-fil-A Rewards

Volunteer 2hr/month - Sm. Shake

Volunteer 4hr/month - Kids Meal (1st - 6th grades)

Volunteer 4hrs/month - Lg. Sandwich or Nuggets (7th - 12th grades)

Each month one student will receive the honor of becoming the Project SERVE-it Volunteer of the Month. Only student volunteering over 4 hours in a given month are eligible.

Become a Project Care Bags volunteer this month to help SPEAK pack duffle bags to be donated to youth in and the aging out of foster care.

Crafters wanted! Join SPEAK for a mega craft project for National Adoption Month.

Join the SPEAK Youth Choir. You will perform at SPEAK events and sing to encourage special local audiences at senior centers, nursing homes...

Caroline K. who has tirelessly put in hour after hour of volunteer work in the month of May is the Volunteer of the Month. She spent time making a story board and baking delicious treats, then selling them. She even made her own video to tell the story of one challenge faced by youth in foster care. She wants you to know that many youth in foster care experience multiple placements and may end up moving their belongings in trash bags. Caroline, with some help from her Mom and other youth volunteers raised over $200 to buy large sturdy duffle bags for youth in foster care to hold their belongings. You Can Help Too! Donate Now.
