This information is provided as a free resource to families. It remains the responsibility of each parent/guardian to investigate each opportunity for safety and appropriateness for his/her child.
Youth,
If you are still bored, contact us to get some information about completing a volunteer service project for SPEAK this summer. No age is too young.

Parents,
SPEAK also has several virtual volunteer projects that teens or the whole family can complete at home.

SPEAK is Looking for a Permanent Home

SPEAK is turned 3 this year. So much has happened. SPEAK has: raised awareness about some critical issues like the thousands of youth in foster care; hosted events like the For the Love of Foster Care and Adoption Picnic; provided services like the Room Makeovers for 3 youth in foster care and much more. Now it is time for SPEAK to acquire a permanent space to continue its mission and provide many needed services to the community. We may have to set up in a temporary spot for a while, but its all in God's plan.
Stay tuned as we update you on our progress.

National Foster Care Month

National Foster Care Month is approaching quickly. May has been dedicated to raising awareness about the more than 400,000 children and youth in the US Child Welfare System.

Get Involved:

  • Plan to help in some way during the month of May.
  • Pray for God's peace in the hearts of the children and youth who have been separated from their families.
  • Pray for the healing and restoration of these families.
  • Pray that God would touch the hearts of Christian families to become foster parents or to adopt children (especially the older teens) out of foster care.
  • Help a foster family that you may know.
